Installing the field of photovoltaic modules

The section below gives general advice for installing a photovoltaic field. However, kit are supplied with detailed, specific assembly instructions. Please read these for fuller information.

The solar panels are placed side by side with their front face on the ground so that they can be assembled and mounted. Make sure that the connection boxes are all on the same side. To put the kit in place, first assemble the spars, i.e. the part of the kit on which the module frame rests.

The modules are fixed with stainless steel nuts.
To avoid theft, you are advised to use anti-theft screws. If you do use these, block the nuts with washers when tightening.
